Class Schedule

Day 1 - Weds, April 24: Clean, prep, sort materials, set up sculpture studio spaces to work
Day 2 - Thurs, April 25: Lewis River Creek Clean UP!  (Be prepared to get wet and dirty—rain boots or grubby sneakers recommended.) 
Day 3 - Friday, April 26: Clean materials from clean up, prep, sort materials, sketch, play, problem solve.  ”Tapped” screening 7pm.
Day 4 - Monday, April 29:  1 Paragraph due about perspective on Tapped due before class starts. Class discussion of required reading by Suzi Gablik. Finish all cleaning of debris then sketch, play and problem solve with debris. 
Day 5 - Tuesday, April 30: Start sculpting + assembling.  Class picnic @ Paul Ryan’s home, 6 pm.

Day 6 - Weds, May 1: Sculpt + Assemble.  ”Waste Land” screening 7pm. 
Day 7 - Thursday, May 2: 1 paragraph due via email, before class about your perspective on Waste LandSculpt + Assemble. Reading assignment, From The World Without Us by Alan Weisman. Chapter 9: Polymers are Forever.
Day 8 - Friday, May 3: Class discussion of The World Without Us reading assignment. Sculpt + Assemble. Assignment: Watch 20 min video of The Story of Stuff by Annie Leonard. 1 paragraph perspective due before class Monday.  
Day 9 - Monday, May 6: 1 paragraph due on The Story of Stuff by Annie Leonard. Sculpt + Assemble. 
Day 10 - Tuesday, May 7: Sculpt + Assemble.  ”Bag It” screening 7pm.
Day 11 - Weds, May 8: Sculpt + Assemble/Finish pieces by end of day. 
Day 12 - Thursday, May 9: Photo-document, title, price all works,  create evite, use social networking to promote exhibit.
Day 13 - Friday, May 10: Install exhibit at gallery. 
Day 14 - Monday, May 13: Clean up studio, course evaluations, INTERCEPTORS reception (aka class party!) from 5-7pm. 
Day 15 - Tuesday, May 14: Take down the exhibit, deliver artwork to highest bidders.
